11,000 security personnel will be on duty for the India-Pakistan match at the ODI World Cup in 2023
Wednesday, October 11 2023 - 09:35
According to Ahmedabad Commissioner of Police G S Malik, threats led to the creation of a high-level security setup for the India-Pakistan ODI World Cup match at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. On October 14, the most competitive cricket match in history will take place at the largest cricket stadium in the globe.

In Ahmedabad and the stadium, there will be more than 11,000 security guards from various organizations, including the Gujarat Police, NSG, RAF, and home guards. Even though there hasn’t been any racial violence in Ahmedabad during cricket matches played in the city in the past 20 years, security personnel will be stationed at critical locations out of an abundance of caution.

On October 9, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel met with the state’s DGP Vikas Sahay, G S Malik, and other top law enforcement officials in Gandhinagar. The chief minister looked through the security plans and instructed the police to take all required precautions to make sure the event went off without a hitch, according to Malik, who spoke at a press conference after the meeting.
The Indian team has decided not to provide us with a clear assessment on Shubman Gill’s fitness: Aakash Chopra
Wednesday, October 11 2023 - 09:34
The BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) has come under fire from former Indian opener Aakash Chopra for failing to provide a clear update on Shubman Gill’s fitness. Due to dengue, the teenage batting star missed the team’s opening game against Australia in Chennai. He will now be absent from the team’s second match against Afghanistan in Delhi, which is scheduled for October 11th.

The right-handed batter was making excellent progress, according to India’s head coach Rahul Dravid, but he would not be going to Delhi with the team because he needed more time to heal. Chopra expressed his dissatisfaction with the team, saying that since they won’t give the real reason, everyone can believe Gill is suffering from dengue or something similar.

“Shubman Gill has a disease. He is still not physically fit. Chopra was cited on his YouTube channel as saying, “The Indian team has agreed they won’t tell us clearly, that we can keep thinking, we can claim it’s dengue or whatever we feel like, but they won’t tell us.
India and Australia will play a test match in Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium in December.
Wednesday, October 11 2023 - 09:32
The famous Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai will once again take center stage as it hosts an intriguing match between the Australian women’s cricket team and the India women’s cricket squad. This one-off Test match, which is slated for December 2023, will be a thrilling all-format tour stop that will include both sides competing at a variety of Mumbai venues. A three-match ODI series will take place at the Wankhede Stadium in addition to the Test match, giving cricket fans plenty of thrilling action.

The forthcoming one-off Test is particularly significant since it brings women’s Test cricket back to India after an almost ten-year absence. In November 2014, India hosted South Africa in Mysore for the final women’s Test match. The Wankhede Stadium, meanwhile, brings back fond memories for the Australian women’s team because it was here that they played their final Test match on Indian soil in 1984.
Everything you need to know about Babar Azam’s career profiles, ODI statistics, records, and rankings
Wednesday, October 11 2023 - 09:31
Babar Azam, the captain of Pakistan, was born on October 15, 1994, in Lahore, Pakistan. He is currently one of the most productive and reliable batters in international cricket. With his steady achievements across all formats over the past few years, the right-handed batter is currently regarded as one of the greatest players of the modern era, along with Virat Kohli of India, Steven Smith of Australia, Joe Root of England, and Kane Williamson of New Zealand.

In 2015, the Men in Green’s one-day international encounter against Zimbabwe in Harare marked the 28-year-old’s debut for the team. He played against England the following year in Manchester in the shortest international format for the first time. Against the West Indies in Dubai (DSC), Babar wore the White Jersey for the first time that year.

Babar Azam simply kept getting better after making his ODI debut, eventually joining that team as a permanent member. He consistently scored runs, which made him one of the most important and necessary players in the lineup. Despite having established himself early in his ODI career, Babar’s 360-run performance against the West Indies in a three-match bilateral series in the United Arab Emirates in 2016 was his most memorable accomplishment.
